My lap band journey started in Nov '07. My wonderful husband used money from his super to pay for my operation. My Surgeons name is Dr Ian Martin and he literally saved my life.
When I went to visit him I was 197kg..........In Jan I was 208kg and the day of Banding the 5th of Feb 2008 I was 197kg.
In 12 months I successfully hit 149kg...my first goal. That was on the 15th of Feb 2009.
The next Day I was assaulted at work so badly that my lola was dislodged and the larger stomach had come up through the band.
on the 24th of March 2009 I had another surgery to have my stomach pulled back through and Lola reattached.
Since then I have endured alot with lola.
In March 2009 Danny was admitted to hospital for a suicide attempt and medication review.....
on the 26th of May I lost my shinning light my poppa to cancer,
I broke my ankle and spent 5 months in a wheel chair after medication they tried made me dizzy.......
My beloved nanna passed of a broken heart to be with my poppa on the 16th of November............and I was left the head of the family, the glue that somehow kept my family together. I put on alot of the weight I had lost over this time.
It has taken me a long time to go back and see my surgeon to have Lola adjusted properly. I think we are finally there.
Last Tuesday the 6th of March I weighed 183kg.....Watch this space for updates!!!
